Eat Better Snacks exists because the snack aisle is full of confident promises and short on useful context. We are building a practical editorial resource for shoppers, founders, retailers, and anyone curious about what makes a snack work.

Our mission

Our goal is to make snack information easier to understand and more enjoyable to use. We focus on labels, ingredients, processing formats, category shifts, and real-life fit. We are pleasure-positive: taste and texture belong in the conversation.

We do not provide individualized medical advice. We also do not label foods as morally good or bad.

Editorial standards

  • Primary sources first. We prioritize regulators, public data, peer-reviewed research, and original product labels.
  • Specific claims need context. We separate a label fact, a manufacturer claim, an editorial interpretation, and a hands-on observation.
  • No invented testing. If we did not taste, measure, interview, or price-check something, we do not imply that we did.
  • Dates are visible. Formulas and labels change. Every guide includes a publication or update date.
  • Corrections stay easy. Readers and brands can challenge an error with evidence.

Founding partner disclosure

Eat Better Snacks launched with support from OhCrisp, a brand that makes freeze-dried fruit snacks and mixes. Because we cover the snack industry, that relationship matters and is disclosed sitewide.

Support does not purchase a favorable ranking. We label sponsored work, samples, affiliate relationships, and other material commercial connections on the page where they occur. We do not sell undisclosed editorial placement.
